Feature
Polymer materials are composed of long chains of covalent bonds, and the orientation and crystallinity greatly influence the properties of the product when it becomes a product through processes such as stretching, molding, and heat treatment. These two factors have a great influence on physical properties such as mechanical strength, elastic modulus, heat shrinkability, and optical/electrical properties. Therefore, quantification of orientation degree and crystallinity is important for product development and quality control. It has become extremely important. Also, in molded products such as fiber-reinforced composite materials, fiber orientation causes warpage or strength anisotropy.
The molecular orientation analyzer "MOA" is an orientation evaluation device that uses a microwave cavity resonator. The interaction between microwave electrolysis and dipoles of which the macromolecule is composed, is related to the inner product of the two vectors. and by rotating the sheet sample in the microwave polarized electric field, you can know the orientation of molecular chains or fibrous substances in the sheet plane.
